WNBA: Las Vegas Aces look to stay unbeaten at Indiana Fever
After remaining undefeated with a narrow win last night, the Las Vegas Aces are looking to keep the momentum going against the Indiana Fever on Sunday afternoon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Coming off the first championship in franchise history, Las Vegas is on track to compete for another title after starting this season with a 5-0 record. Jackie Young is averaging a team-high 22.4 points per game, while A'ja Wilson is putting up 19.4 points and 8.4 rebounds. Chelsea Gray, Candace Parker and Kelsey Plum are key players to watch as well.
Despite struggling to shoot from beyond the arc, the Fever have found success playing through Kelsey Mitchell and NaLyssa Smith. Aliyah Boston has made a positive impact as well, averaging 15.8 points and 6.0 rebounds en route to receiving WNBA Rookie of the Month. Mitchell is scoring a team-high 16.0 points and 1.2 steals per game.
Even though the Aces should be able to pull away, I'm expecting the Fever to keep it within striking distance and cover the spread. Las Vegas opened as 14.5-point favorites with the over/under set at 171.5 total points per Betstamp. Becky Hammon's team leads the league with 95.6 points per game as Wilson and Young continue to lead the charge.
