Timberwolves take down league-worst Pistons 124-117
After trailing in the early stages, the Minnesota Timberwolves eventually took down the Detroit Pistons 124-117 to remain atop the Western Conference standings at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night. Timberwolves star duo Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards posted 27 points each to help extend the winning streak to three straight games, while center Rudy Gobert totaled 19 points and a game-high 16 rebounds in the recent road victory.
Chris Finch’s team was fueled by four double-digit scorers as forward Jaden McDaniels racked up 23 points in Detroit. Despite entering the day as questionable to play with left knee soreness, Edwards displayed his dynamic athleticism with a thunderous poster dunk over Pistons center Jalen Duren. Minnesota improved to 29-11 with the win and will look to keep the momentum going against the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Thursday evening.
