Ron Harper Jr put in a career-high 38-point performance as the Motor City Cruise took down the Long Island Nets 145-132 on Saturday at Wayne State Fieldhouse! Harper got off to a scorching start, pouring in 18 points on a perfect 6/6 shooting from 3-point range in the first six minutes of the game.

The Cruise forward finished with 38 points and eight assists, highlighted by a franchise record 11 3-pointers in the win. Motor City jumped out to a 43-28 lead but Long Island was able to stay within striking distance as Tyson Etienne stepped up with Killian Hayes sidelined due to a recent sickness.

Both teams traded buckets in the late stages of the first half until Daniss Jenkins threw down a poster dunk, helping the Cruise take a 71-66 lead heading into halftime. Harper caught fire in the third quarter as well, hitting multiple 3-pointers to extend the lead to 112-92 going to the fourth period.

Even though the Nets were able to cut the deficit to single digits, Motor City cruised to a 145-132 win to snap a losing streak. Jenkins posted 27 points and 10 assists, while Tolu Smith totaled 26 points and eight rebounds in the win. Etienne had a career-best 43-point showing for Long Island.
