The red hot Detroit Pistons are scheduled to host the defending NBA Finals champion Boston Celtics on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena! Both teams are riding hot streaks in recent weeks as the Celtics have won six consecutive games and the Pistons have won seven straight outings, which is their longest win streak in more than a decade.
Coming off one of the worst years in franchise history, Detroit has completely turned it around and is currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with a 32-26 record. Boston is looking to reach the NBA Finals for the third time in four seasons and potentially win back to back championships, sitting at 42-16 and second place in the East standings.
Cade Cunningham leads the Pistons with 25.7 points and 9.5 assists per game this season including putting up 27.2 points, 9.5 assists and 6.3 rebounds during the current win streak. The All-Star point guard discussed the recent hot streak: "We still feel like we have to earn the league's respect so every night we have to play with grit and a sense of urgency."
