NFL: Washington hands Pittsburgh first loss

The Washington Football Team (5-7) took down the previously-undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers (11-1) on Monday Night Football in Pittsburgh. After a scoreless first quarter, the Steelers put up a pair of second quarter touchdowns to take a 14-3 lead into halftime. It felt like Pittsburgh would run away with the game from there, but a one-yard Peyton Barber TD cut into the deficit. Washington then went on to score the final 13 points as Alex Smith found Logan Thomas for a 15-yard score before Dustin Hopkins knocked through two field goals to win the game 23-17. The Steelers will try to bounce back against the Bills while Washington hopes to keep pace with the Giants in the NFC East race against San Francisco on Sunday night.
