NFL: Decker, Detroit agree on extension

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Lions have signed tackle Taylor Decker to a four-year extension worth $60 million. He officially signed the contract on Wednesday, September 2 and is now set to be Detroit's left tackle for the foreseeable future. The 318-pound lineman is going into his fifth year in the NFL after being drafted 16th overall by the Lions out of Ohio State. Decker has played in 15+ games in three of his four seasons, and started all 16 games in both 2016 and 2018. The other members of Detroit's offensive line are Joe Dahl (left guard), Jonah Jackson (right guard), Frank Ragnow (center), and Halapoulivaati Vaitai (right tackle). The Lions, who went 3-12-1 a year ago, will look to compete in the NFC North and Decker will certainly be in the middle of things.
