NFL: Current playoff projections, championship odds

The playoff race is starting to take form as we enter Week 16. The Green Bay Packers were the first team to clinch a playoff berth in the NFC, while the Dallas Cowboys also clinched a spot after the Tennessee Titans defeated the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 on Thursday Night Football. As of this moment, 12/14 playoff sports remain open with only teams eliminated. As of Friday night, here are the current standings for both conferences followed by Super Bowl odds.


Since last year, the NFL has made two big changes to the playoff format. The first is that there will be 14 teams in the playoffs again this year. The other major change will be only one team in each conference will get a bye. Currently only the Kansas City Chiefs and Packers would receive a bye. According to Bet Online Sportsbook, the Chiefs (+425) are the favorites to win the Super Bowl followed by the Packers (+450), Buccaneers (+650), Rams, (+900) and Patriots (+1000).
