NBA: Top-10 players heading into 2022 Finals

The 2022 NBA Finals will feature two teams that are top-10 in both offensive and defensive rating this season. The Golden State Warriors are seeking their seventh championship in franchise history and fourth title in eight years, while the Boston Celtics look to make history by winning a record-breaking 18th championship in 22 appearances. Both teams are loaded with talent but only one team can come out on top. Below is the list of the 10 best players heading into the Finals. Each team has five players with Warriors superstar Stephen Curry topping the list, followed by Celtics star Jayson Tatum with Klay Thompson, Jaylen Brown and Draymond Green rounding out the top five.

This Finals matchup is the best scenario NBA fans could have wanted and this series will be filled with drama, suspense and star power. The Celtics had an impressive playoff run, sweeping Kevin Durant’s Brooklyn Nets, beating Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, and defeating the 1-seed Miami Heat on the road in seven games. However, the Warriors have been to the dance one too many times. The experience the Warriors core has in Curry, Green and Thompson is the difference maker this series. The Warriors core played in a combined 82 Finals games, while not a single player on the Celtics has played one. When it comes down to it, the Warriors simply will make the right plays in crucial moments, while the Celtics lack of experience will hinder them. The most even matchup Finals in recent memory will go to the Warriors in seven games.
