NBA: Spoken Truth Podcast reacts to opening round matchups

Spoken Truth Podcast

On the most recent live edition of the Spoken Truth Podcast, we watched and reacted to the Memphis Grizzlies matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 on Tuesday night. Memphis needed to respond convincingly after going down 130-117 at home over the weekend and they did just that. Ja Morant finished with a game-high 23 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in the 124-96 win to even the series. Jaren Jackson Jr racked up 16 points and seven rebounds, while Desmond Bane added 16 points. Anthony Edwards had a monstrous Game 1 with 36 points and six assists in his playoff debut before coming back down to Earth with only 20 points in the loss. Game 3 is set for Thursday at Target Center.

Danny Murphy, Charles Post and Tunde Aduroja talked about Memphis' must-win, Karl-Anthony Towns continuously getting into foul trouble, Steven Adams likely not being a major factor in this series and much more! In addition to covering the Grizzlies runaway in the second half, we discussed Jordan Poole's jump alongside Golden State's 3-guard lineup, Boston's buzzer-beating victory over Brooklyn, James Harden's struggles shooting from the field, Jimmy Butler's 45-point performance as Miami held off Atlanta to go up 2-0 and another Utah fourth quarter collapse.
