NBA: Spoken Truth Podcast looks ahead to potential Warriors-Celtics matchup
On the most recent live episode of the Spoken Truth Podcast, we reacted to the Western Conference Finals Game 5 as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 120-110 to advance to their sixth NBA Finals in the last eight years. Despite getting off to a slow start tonight, Stephen Curry drilled the dagger in the final minutes and earned the inaugural Western Conference Finals MVP trophy. Klay Thompson caught fire in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 32 points on 8/16 shooting from 3-point range. Dallas trailed by 25 points in the third quarter but went on a 15-2 run to get within striking distance before Golden State sealed the victory to eliminate the Mavericks and move onto the Finals.
Charles Post and Tunde Aduroja also reviewed Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals as the Boston Celtics blew past the Miami Heat 93-80 with a late third quarter run to take a 3-2 series lead. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum couldn’t find a rhythm early on but were able to quickly pull away with a flurry of 3-pointers prior to the fourth quarter. Throughout the episode, we looked ahead to the Eastern Conference Finals Game 6 on Friday night and a potential Finals matchup between the Warriors and Celtics.
