The most recent iteration of the Spoken Truth Podcast with Danny Murphy, Tunde Aduroja and Chas Post, included conversations on the Cleveland Cavaliers 6-game win streak, COVID-19's continuous impact on the NBA, Klay Thompson's return, Stephen Curry recently breaking Ray Allen's 3-point record, another Anthony Davis injury, Kyrie Irving's plan to play this season, and much more. The full episode of the Spoken Truth Podcast is available on Spotify and YouTube!
We also updated the always-evolving MVP race with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and reigning winner Nikola Jokic in the front of the pack. Curry is averaging 27.7 points and 5.9 assists on 40.2% from 3-point range, compared to Durant's league-high 29.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. The Rookie of the Year race is just as intriguing as Evan Mobley slightly leads fellow first rounders Cade Cunningham and Scottie Barnes.
Lastly we predicted who we expect to meet in the Finals in 2022 and picked each Christmas Day matchup. The Atlanta Hawks kick things off against the New York Knicks on Saturday at noon, followed by the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks facing off. The two teams with the best records in the NBA, Golden State (26-6) and Phoenix (26-5), will also meet for the third time in December. After that, the Lakers host the Nets and Utah gets Dallas at home.
