Jabari Smith Jr highlights notable performances from Summer League
Houston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr totaled a game-high 33 points including 29 points in the second half to help secure a 100-99 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in Las Vegas on Friday night. Check out the thrilling finish as Smith knocked down a buzzer-beating triple to complete the comeback and escape with a narrow win!
Just a couple of nights later, Smith racked up a game-high 38 points and seven rebounds in a 113-101 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday afternoon. Following a second straight dominant performance, the Rockets recently announced their decision to sit Smith for the rest of the Summer League as he prepares for his sophomore campaign.
Several other notable showings include Blazers rookie guard Scoot Henderson scoring 15 points, six assists and five rebounds in his NBA debut and Cavaliers rookie wing Emoni Bates totaling 21 points and four rebounds to help Cleveland remain undefeated with a 100-77 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday evening!
