NBA: Bucks blowout Nets in dominant season opener

Chas Post

The Milwaukee Bucks (1-0) defeated the Brooklyn Nets (0-1) on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Before tip-off, the Bucks got their championship rings and then jumped out to a quick start and didn't look back against the conference favorites Brooklyn. Giannis Antetokounmpo was absolutely dominant in the 127-104 win, finishing with 32 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists. Khris Middleton had 20 points and nine rebounds. Kevin Durant (32 points and 11 rebounds) did all he could for the Nets but it wasn't enough to stay competitive on opening night. James Harden added 20 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds in the loss. Milwaukee will travel to Brooklyn for a highly anticipated rematch in early January.
