MLB: Power Rankings 5.0
The World Series started on Tuesday night as the Atlanta Braves (+8) beat the Houston Astros 6-2 despite losing top starting pitcher Charlie Morton to a season-ending leg injury. Jorge Soler gave Atlanta an early lead in Game 1 with a solo shot to left field and Tyler Matzek helped clinch the victory with another stellar bullpen performance. Houston will attempt to bounce back in Game 2 as Max Fried and Jose Urquidy are expected to start. Despite trailing 1-0, the Astros (-155) are favorites to win a second World Series in the last five years. Check out our power rankings, championship odds, and more.
