CFB: Where will Arch Manning commit?
Arch Manning isn't the average recruit because of his family history but his elite accuracy and ability to read defenses are why colleges are so intrigued by the 16-year-old signal caller. Manning is the #1 recruit in the 2023 class according to 247 Sports Composite Rankings, just ahead of fellow 5-star prospects Lebbeus Overton, David Hicks, Malachi Nelson, and Kadyn Proctor. The 6'4 quarterback has earned 12 scholarship offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Texas, USC, and more. Ole Miss is also considered a possibility, where his grandfather Archie Manning and uncle Eli Manning played quarterback.
The New Orleans-product recently attended Alabama's win against Ole Miss on Saturday, Oct. 2. According to Sports Illustrated, Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian is expected to watch Manning's game on Thursday night before Manning comes to Austin on Saturday for an official visit as Texas takes on undefeated Oklahoma State. Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Texas are widely considered favorites to land the top ranked QB, as LSU and Ole Miss are also reportedly in the mix. Manning made it look easy in a 70-0 win over Fisher High School on Friday night, finishing a perfect 11-11 with five touchdowns.
