CFB: Week 2 preview, predictions

The first full week of college football lived up to the anticipation, highlighted by Georgia’s narrow win over Clemson and Penn State’s triumph at Wisconsin. This coming week also has a few matchups that should come down to the wire. Oregon travels to face Ohio State, while Iowa and Iowa State meet in their annual rivalry. Even though Alabama (+220) remains the favorite to win the national championship per Vegas Insider, Georgia (+425) increased their odds after taking out Clemson in Charlotte. Bryce Young jumped to the top of the Heisman race after throwing for 344 yards and four touchdowns in his starting debut, as Spencer Rattler and Breece Hall dropped a spot. Check out the top-25 teams, playoff odds, weekly picks, and more!

After not being able to play a year ago because of COVID-19, Ohio State and Oregon will meet in Columbus on Saturday at noon. Despite both teams being ranked inside the top-10, the Buckeyes remain heavy favorites. Texas A&M will travel to Colorado as Isaiah Spiller looks for another impressive performance after going for 113 yards in a 41-13 win over Kent State. In our second meeting of ranked opponents, Iowa State will try to snap a 5-game losing streak against rival Iowa. Breece Hall and Tyler Goodson go head to head in the first ever top-10 battle between the two programs. Texas and Utah are also 7.0-point favorites prior to their road games. I'm picking Oregon, Colorado, Iowa State, Arkansas, and Utah to cover the spread.

Week 2 Picks:

- Oregon @ Ohio State (-14.5)
