CBB: 2022 Big Ten Power Rankings 2.0

Even though Illinois (14-5, 7-2) and Wisconsin (16-3, 7-2) have surged to the top of the Big Ten standings with a must-see matchup coming up, Purdue (16-3, 5-3) remains #1 in the power rankings. All three programs, as well as Michigan State (15-4, 6-2) and Ohio State (12-4, 5-2), are battling for the conference regular season championship and a first round bye in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament. The Boilermakers are the deepest team and have the most upside but losses against Wisconsin and Indiana (15-5, 6-4) have hurt their title chances. Illinois was able to hold off Michigan State earlier in the week without Kofi Cockburn and Andre Curbelo but they'll likely need to get those guys back in order to win the conference. Wisconsin will get an opportunity to reclaim first place against Illinois on Wednesday, February 2 in Champaign.
