NFL: Jamal Adams sent to Seattle
Jamal Adams, former #6 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, was traded to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, July 26. Seattle also received a 2022 second round draft pick in the deal, while the Jets picked up Bradley McDougald, a 2021 first round pick, a 2021 third round pick, and a 2022 first round pick. The 6'1 safety was drafted by the Jets just over three years ago. Adams became increasingly unhappy, though, and the former LSU defensive back made it public that he wanted to be traded just over a month ago. Adams, who has been named to two Pro Bowls, totaled 61 solo tackles, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception in 2019. He will now join a defense led by head coach Pete Carroll, and consisting of players like Jordyn Brooks, Quinton Dunbar, Bruce Irvin, and Bobby Wager.
