MLB: Picking Opening Day games
New York Yankees @ Washington Nationals: The season starts on Thursday, July 23 at 7:00 as New York heads to face the defending champion Nationals on the road. Max Scherzer (2.92 ERA) gets the nod for Washington, while Gerrit Cole (2.50 ERA) is set to take the mound for New York. Make sure to watch out for Juan Soto (110 RBI) and Gleyber Torres (38 HR) for the Nationals and Yankees, respectively. We're giving New York a 66.7% chance to win.
San Francisco Giants @ Los Angeles Dodgers: In the second game of the doubleheader, the NL favorite Dodgers host the rival Giants. Clayton Kershaw (16-5) will once again start on Opening Day for Los Angeles, and on the other side, Johnny Cueto (5.06 ERA) will look to improve on a down year. Keep an eye on Cody Bellinger (47 HR) for LA, and Darin Ruf (35 HR) for San Fran. We give the Dodgers an 89.5% chance to win the opening game.
