CBB: Kobe Bufkin selects Michigan
Kobe Bufkin, a 4-star guard out of Grand Rapids Christian High School, committed to Michigan on Friday, July 10 via Twitter. The shooting guard is 6'4 and 175 pounds and is one of the premier seniors-to-be in the state of Michigan. He is #78 in the nation (and #3 in the state) according to 247 Sports. Bufkin picked head coach Juwan Howard and Michigan over offers from DePaul, LSU, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, and others. Next year he'll join a team that consists of players like Hunter Dickinson, Zeb Jackson, Brandon Johns, and Franz Wagner, barring any major roster movement. The Wolverines went 19-12 in 2019-20, finishing the season with a loss to Maryland, in Howard's first year on duty. Bufkin, who is a quick score-first guard, could push Howard to move to a more up-tempo offense.
