NFL: Brandon Brooks tears Archilles
Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard Brandon Brooks has torn his Achilles. The injury was announced on Monday, June 15. Brooks suffered the injury during a workout at the Eagles' team complex after playing and starting all 16 games a year ago. He tore his other Achilles approximately a year and a half ago and will miss another extended period of time. Brooks is considered one of the top guards in the league and he is currently on a four-year deal worth $56.2 million after signing the contract in November of 2019. If it's played, Brooks is expected to miss the entire 2020 campaign, while the Eagles will try to build on a 9-7 record and an NFC East title. Matt Pryor is the most likely replacement for Brooks, who will be 32-years-old by the next time he plays in an NFL game.
