CBB: Mac McClung picks Texas Tech
Mac McClung, former shooting guard at Georgetown, has announced his decision to transfer to Texas Tech via Twitter. He averaged 15.7 points per game last year with the Hoyas, as he played in 21 games as a sophomore. After two years at Georgetown, McClung decided to enter his name into the NBA Draft and enter the transfer portal. He has now taken his name out of draft contention and will head to play for Chris Beard and the Red Raiders. McClung previously announced his top seven last Wednesday: Auburn, Arkansas, BYU, Memphis, Texas Tech, USC, and Wake Forest. After committing to Texas Tech, Beard will have another high level player that could help make a run in March. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to play next year but he is seeking a waiver that would allow him to be eligible immediately.
