NFL: Cowboys add Andy Dalton
Andy Dalton has signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys, reportedly worth $7 million. The deal also includes $3 million guaranteed. Dalton was released last week after nine seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He won 50+ games in his first five years and reached the playoffs five times, but went 0-5, and Cincinnati decided it was time to move onto #1 pick Joe Burrow. Dalton will head to Dallas, where he is expected to be Dak Prescott's back-up, unless Prescott's holdout continues into the season. In that case, the 32-year-old would be moved into the starting spot. Dalton threw for 3,494 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions on 59.5% passing last year. Prescott's holdout obviously complicates the situation but for now, the Cowboys' quarterbacks include Dalton, Ben DiNucci, and Clayton Thorson.
