NFL: Bengals draft Burrow with top pick
The Cincinnati Bengals have selected former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the #1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 23. Cincinnati had a 2-14 record last season and it was clear that they were ready to move on from QB Andy Dalton, who had been there for a decade and had no playoff wins to show for it. Burrow wasn't even projected to be drafted in the first round pick a year ago but after one of the most dominant seasons in college football history, the Bengals couldn't pass up on him. He threw for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, and just six interceptions on an incredible 76.3% passing percentage. The 6'4 quarterback is from Athens, Ohio, and will try to jumpstart a Bengals rebuild as soon as possible. Our pro comparison for Burrow is former #1 pick Jared Goff.
