CBB: Green turns down NCAA route
Jalen Green, the #3 recruit according to 247 Sports (#1 recruit in the ESPN 100), has announced that he will play in the G-League next season, turning down scholarship offers from Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Memphis, Oregon, and others. He will enter the NBA's professional pathway program, which began two years ago. Green could get paid up to as much as $500 thousand next year as he will play in the G-League for one season and then will be eligible to enter the 2021 NBA Draft. He is projected to be a top-five pick. Green's decision could make the G-League route an even more appealing choice for prospects that don't want to go to college. Other recruits that are playing professionally instead of going to school next year are Isaiah Todd (#13), MarJon Beauchamp (#39), and Kenyon Martin Jr. (#66).
