NFL: Vonn Bell signs with Bengals
Vonn Bell has signed a 3-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. Bell, who is 25-years-old, will leave the Saints for a rebuild in Cincinnati. He was a second round pick in 2016 and became a starter for the Saints quickly. It was clear that New Orleans was moving on when they signed Malcolm Jenkins away from the Philadelphia Eagles, and now we know where Bell is headed. Bell will likely be on the field alongside fellow safety Shawn Williams in a Cincinnati team that expects to add Joe Burrow with the #1 overall pick in Thursday's draft. Other notable defenders on the Bengals are Geno Atkins, Josh Bynes, DJ Reader, and Trae Waynes. The Bengals went 2-14 last year. Bell played in 13 games last season and compiled 66 solo tackles, five pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and one interception.
