NFL: Texans trade for Brandin Cooks
The Houston Texans have made another move involving wide receivers as they are acquiring Brandin Cooks and a fourth round draft pick from the Los Angeles Rams, in exchange for a second round pick. Cooks had four straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons from 2015-2018 before compiling just 583 yards last year as the Rams dropped off a bit. Cooks was a key part of LA getting to the Super Bowl the year prior, though, and he still has potential to help an offense. The 26-year-old is now the #1 wide receiver on the Texans roster following their trade of DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. Houston's other receivers are Randall Cobb, Will Fuller, and Kenny Stills. The Texans have built a solid group but they no longer have a guy on the same level as Hopkins, even after trading for Cooks.
