NFL: Panthers extend McCaffrey
The Carolina Panthers have extended their superstar running back, Christian McCaffrey, to a 4-year deal worth $64 million. McCaffrey, who is 23-years-old, was a Heisman finalist at Stanford before becoming the #8 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He ran for 1,387 yards and 15 touchdowns last year, while adding 1,005 receiving yards and four touchdowns through the air for the Panthers. The deal makes McCaffrey the highest paid running back in NFL history and many people believe that he is the best running back in the league today. Carolina continues to make monumental moves during this offseason as they have fired long-time head coach Ron Rivera, hired former Baylor head coach Matt Rhule, released former #1 pick Cam Newton, and now extended McCaffrey for four years.
