NFL: Mock Draft Vol. 1

1. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow (QB/LSU): This pick has been a lock since around December at this point, and is pretty much a no brainer for the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati is ready to move on from quarterback Andy Dalton after nearly a decade in charge, and Joe Burrow just finished putting together the best college football season of any player in history. The Ohio kid returning to his home state seems like a match made in heaven.

2. Washington: Chase Young (EDGE/Ohio State): This pick has also been obvious since Washington clinched the #2 pick back in the month of January. One of the best edge rushers to come out of the college ranks in a long time, scouts have been hyping up Chase Young as the “next big thing” for quite some time now. Expect him to make a difference on Washington's defense next year if he goes here.

3. Detroit Lions: Jeffrey Okudah (CB/Ohio State): The Lions need a new GM and a new head coach, but since that is seemingly not an option for them this offseason, they must start filling at least a few of their many holes on this roster. After trading both Quandre Diggs and Darius Slay away to the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively, Detroit needs to start over completely in the secondary and picking Okudah would certainly help.

4. New York Giants: Jerry Jeudy (WR/Alabama): The Giants are another team that needs help everywhere on the roster, but specifically on the offensive side of the ball. They have young building blocks in quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley, but after trading Odell Beckham away they need that #1 wide receiver to take the top off defenses. Enter a guy with elite speed like Jeudy and he should be able to do just that.

5. Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa (QB/Alabama): Thanks to screwing up their tank job by starting Ryan Fitzpatrick the majority of the season, the Dolphins are no longer in prime position to get the best QB in this draft class and must settle for the second best option. That being said, though, Tagovailoa isn’t a bad consolation prize as long as he’s back to 100% after his gruesome hip injury last season. Miami will certainly take him if he's available.

Other Selections:

6. Chargers: Jordan Love (QB/Utah State)

7. Panthers: Isaiah Simmons (LB/Clemson)

8. Cardinals: Mekhi Becton (OL/Louisville)

9. Jaguars: Justin Herbert (QB/Oregon)
