NFL: PJ Walker continues hot start
1. PJ Walker (Houston Roughnecks, QB): Walker has put on a show in three games, totaling 748 passing yards and helping his team to 13 touchdowns and a +4 touchdown differential. Houston has started the season 3-0 and looks like title contenders early on. The Roughnecks will face the Dallas Renegades on the road next weekend.
2. Matt Jones (St. Louis Battlehawks, RB): Jones has been the best running back through nearly the first month of the season as he’s compiled 224 rushing yards, the best in the league. The Battlehawks will try to build on a +4 touchdown differential as they’ve totaled nine touchdowns. St. Louis will get the Seattle Dragons on Saturday.
3. Cardale Jones (DC Defenders, QB): Jones was likely considered the MVP favorite coming into the season and he’s done really well as his team is 2-1. With that said, though, his four interception performance versus the LA Wildcats last week was pretty bad. Still, he has 602 passing yards as his team will now head to Tampa Bay.
4. Cedric Reed (LA Wildcats, DL): Reed has two sacks through his first three games in the league, which is tied for the most, as his team stands in third place in the West at 1-2. Despite the underwhelming record, LA has a +1 touchdown differential so they might be on the upswing after upsetting the DC Defenders, 39-9, on Sunday night.
5. Cameron Artis-Payne (Dallas Renegades, RB): Artis-Payne, the running back out of Auburn, has ran for the second most yards in the league (185) as his team is 2-0 away from home. Dallas also has scored just six touchdowns, though, and if they want to beat Houston next week they might have to pick it up even more offensively.
