NFL: Championship Round picks, preview
#2 Green Bay Packers (13-3, 1-0) @ #1 San Francisco 49ers (13-3, 1-0): The Packers and 49ers played earlier in the year and San Francisco came away with a 37-8 victory at home. In that game, the Niners jumped out to a 23-0 lead at halftime and Aaron Rodgers was never able to get comfortable, as he threw for just 104 yards and one interception. On that night, it was clear who the better team was as George Kittle compiled 129 yards and one score on six receptions. I don't think it's going to be a 29-point win for San Francisco but they should be able to handle the Packers again. The 49ers have the far superior defense, depth, and receiving group. The game will kick off at 6:40 PM in San Francisco as the 49ers are favored by eight points.
#6 Tennessee Titans (9-7, 2-0) @ #2 Kansas City Chiefs (12-4, 1-0): The Kansas City Chiefs are coming into this game looking to throw the ball and outscore the Tennessee Titans. The key to this game will be can the Titans get a lead early. If they can do that, the ball will stay out of Mahomes’ hands and in Derrick Henry’s. Tennessee is 8-0 when Henry rushes for 100+ yards. On the other side of the ball, the Titans have a top-10 third down defense, with the ability to make big plays. Despite all of this, I think the Chiefs will win this game if they score first because they’re just too explosive for the Titans to handle. The game will kick off at 3:05 PM in Kansas City as the Chiefs come in as seven-point favorites despite the loss to the Titans earlier in the season.
