CFB: Week 10 Preview

Team Rankings:

1. Alabama (8-0, 96)

2. LSU (8-0, 96)

3. Clemson (8-0, 92)

4. Ohio State (8-0, 92)

5. Penn State (8-0, 82)

6. Florida (7-1, 77)

7. Georgia (6-1, 73)

8. Oregon (7-1, 73)

9. Baylor (7-0, 53)

10. Utah (7-1, 34)

#1 Alabama stays at the top of our rankings following their 48-7 victory over SEC foe Arkansas. Even without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, this team is really talented. Mac Jones threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the win. #2 LSU, #6 Florida, and #7 Georgia are three other SEC teams ranked in the top-10. #3 Clemson walked over Boston College, 59-7, at home and earned their eighth win of the season. #4 Ohio State and #5 Penn State are the two Big Ten teams in our rankings. They will play on Saturday, Nov. 23. #8 Oregon is back in our rankings, despite their one loss to Auburn. The Ducks are coming off a 37-35 victory over Washington State as they've nearly locked up the Pac-12 North. #9 Baylor is a new addition as they are still unbeaten and #10 Utah finishes out of top-10.

Week 10 Picks:

Virginia Tech @ Notre Dame

Michigan @ Maryland

West Virginia @ #9 Baylor

#10 Utah @ Washington

#7 Georgia @ #6 Florida

Picks Records:

Caleb Henderson: 36-9

Charles Post: 37-8

Chinedum Wejinya: 38-7

Tyler Taylor: 31-14

Playoff Picks:

1. Alabama (13-0, SEC champions)

2. Ohio State (13-0, Big Ten champions)

3. Clemson (13-0, ACC champions)

4. LSU (11-1, SEC West runner-up)

Notre Dame struggled in their outing at Michigan but the Fighting Irish must refocus and bounce back when Virginia Tech comes to town. It's not going to be an easy matchup, but we're going to take Notre Dame on their home field. Speaking of the Wolverines, they will try to build on their win over the Fighting Irish and take down Maryland, who has struggled mightily after a hot start. We're hesitantly taking Michigan. In the Big 12, Baylor hosts West Virginia looking for an 8-0 start. The Bears are favored and we think they'll win this game as well. Utah heads on the road for a tough game against Washington in what could shake up the Pac-12. We're picking Washington to hold serve at home. In the Game of the Week, we think Georgia takes down Florida despite their loss to South Carolina.

Heisman Standings:

1. Joe Burrow (LSU, 20)

2. Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma, 15)

3. Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama, 11)

4. Chase Young (Ohio State, 6)

5. Justin Herbert (Oregon, 3)

Joe Burrow moves to the top of our standings for the first time this season. He had 321 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in LSU's 23-20 win over #9 Auburn. Burrow has been the most consistent quarterback in the country and now has a 30-4 touchdown to interception ratio. Right behind him is Jalen Hurts, who had 395 yards and one passing touchdown in Oklahoma's loss versus Kansas State. He'll have a chance to rise back to the top but the loss certainly hurts his chances of winning the award. Tua Tagovailoa is in third place despite his injury. Chase Young moves into our top-five for the first time this year. He had six tackles and four sacks last weekend against #13 Wisconsin. Oregon QB Justin Herbert rounds out of standings after he threw for 222 yards and a 70.0% completion rate.
