NFL: Saints shock Texans on MNF
The New Orleans Saints (1-0) defeated the Houston Texans (0-1) in the first Monday Night Football game of the year. Wil Lutz knocked through the game-winning field goal to give New Orleans the 30-28 lead. Houston led 14-3 at halftime and held a one-point lead in the final minute of the game, but Drew Brees continued to push the Saints to the win. Brees threw for 370 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the win. Deshaun Watson had three scores and 368 yards to go along with a 66.6% completion rate. Michael Thomas had a great game as well, compiling a game-high 10 catches for 123 receiving yards. New Orleans travels to play the Los Angeles Rams in a rematch of the NFC title game, while Houston will look for their first win of the season against Gardner Minshew and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
