CBB: Cavaliers Crowned Champions

Virginia has been crowned the new national champions after defeating Texas Tech, 85-77, one year after being the first No. 1 seed to lose in the first round. It's a redemption story like we've never seen before, and Tony Bennett's crew was able to pull off four straight close wins to clinch the first title in school history. De'Andre Hunter had a game-high 27 points on 8-16 shooting from the field. Meanwhile, the Most Outstanding Player, Kyle Guy, totaled 24 points and three rebounds. Brandone Francis had a career-high 17 points off the bench. The Cavaliers went up by three at the half and got up by as much as 11 points in the second half, but the Red Raiders fought back to take a 68-65 lead before Hunter's game-tying three. In overtime, Virginia was able to seize control and secure a national championship.
