NFL: Browns Acquire Beckham Jr.
The Cleveland Browns have acquired superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. In return, the Giants will receive three draft picks and Jabrill Peppers. It had been reported for awhile that Beckham was not happy in New York as the team had gone from contenders to the bottom of the league in less than three years. And now he’s on his way to Cleveland, where he’ll join former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield and former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry to complete a pretty scary offense. Beckham had 1,052 yards this past season despite missing four games with an injury. The Giants were 5-11 last year and will pick 6th in the upcoming NFL Draft. The Browns were much improved and went 7-8-1. They have now hired new head coach Freddie Kitchens who has Beckham and a new offense to work with.
