NFL: Last Piece Missing

The Lions have not had a 100-yard rusher in a game in over four years. That is truly unbelievable. What makes it even worse is that the only high draft pick they used on a running back was injury ridden and soon to be bust, Ameer Abdullah. Why would they continuously pass on a great running backs to draft tight ends, offensive lineman, and corners when having a steady running game is so crucial to an offense. The answer to that is poor general management. There is decent receivers, a good line, an outstanding quarterback, but one crucial piece missing: A running back. This draft is going to be an incredibly exciting sight to see how the Lions screw this up with so many great options at the running back position. Derrius Guice, Saquon Barkley, Bo Scarborough are just some of the names they can select to better this team. It will be very interesting to see what Bob Quinn decides to do to right this ship with a great coach coming in with Matt Patricia.
