CFB: Michigan Season Recap
"Michigan is going to make the College Football Playoff in 2017!"
Yeah, no they are not. They are going to have the most frustrating and disappointing season since 2014 when they finished 5-7. It started out with what at the time was a promising victory over Florida, but against Air Force, you could feel something was up. Michigan didn't score an offensive touchdown until garbage time, late in the fourth quarter. And that would continue throughout the season with losses coming to both rivals at home, a blowout loss to Penn State, and a choke job against Wisconsin. Oh and not to mention you blew a 19-3 lead in the Outback Bowl against South Carolina. So who is to blame for such a lack luster showing in 2017? Nobody.
I personally have grown impatient and non-understanding with Jim Harbaugh this year, but looking at the bigger picture, it is not his fault. Granted they should've won some of the games they lost, but every single one was a quality opponent. And he lost like 200 players to the NFL, some of which were not quality enough players to go before he developed them. He made Jake Rudock a legit college QB and now an NFL QB. So the blame unfortunately is not on anyone in particular. As much as the fans would love to just go crazy and point fingers, they can't. Let's just hope that 2018 has a little more to offer for the Wolverines than the season prior.
