NBA: Damian Lillard named Bubble MVP
Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers starting point guard, was named NBA Seeding Games MVP on Saturday, August 15. The 6'2 guard has been simply dominant in the Orlando Bubble, averaging 37.6 points, 8.5 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game on 49.7% shooting from the field. Lillard also shot 88.8% from the free throw line, 43.6% from 3-point range, and scored 40+ points in four games (including a 61-point performance versus the Dallas Mavericks). He also helped lead his team to a 6-2 record and the #8 seed in the Western Conference, following a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in the first-ever play-in game. Joining Lillard on the All-NBA Bubble First Team is Devin Booker, James Harden, Luka Donćić, and T.J. Warren. Portland will face the #1 Los Angeles Lakers beginning on Tuesday, August 18.
