NBA: Nets pick up Jamal Crawford
The Brooklyn Nets have signed Jamal Crawford for the remainder of the season, as the NBA plans to resume the 2019-20 campaign in Orlando beginning on Thursday, July 30. The 40-year-old played 64 games with the Phoenix Suns a year ago and has spent time with the New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, and others. He averaged 31.3 points and 5.8 assists per game over his last four outings with the Suns, including an incredible 51-point performance against the Dallas Mavericks. The 6'5 guard also won the Sixth Man of the Year award three times, once with the Hawks (2010) and twice with the Clippers (2014, 2016). He will look to make an impact going forward with Brooklyn, who will be without seven players, including Wilson Chandler, Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan, and Kyrie Irving.
