CFB: Taulia transfers to Maryland

Taulia Tagovailoa, former Alabama quarterback and younger brother of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, announced his decision to transfer to Maryland on Friday, May 15. He decided to enter the transfer portal approximately a week before choosing the Terrapins as his next destination. The 5’11 signal caller went 9/12 for 100 passing yards and one touchdown in limited time at Alabama. Tagovailoa will look to carve out a successful career under former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Mike Locksley, who is headed into his second season with the Terps. After sitting out the 2020 season, Tagovailoa will have three years of eligibility remaining. Josh Jackson is expected to start in his final season at Maryland after transferring from Virginia Tech.
