CFB: Justyn Ross out for 2020
The Clemson Tigers football program announced that the team would be without star wide receiver Justyn Ross for the 2020 season. Dabo Swinney explained that the wideout will undergo surgery in order to address neck and spine injuries, which were discovered by an x-ray during the spring. It is believed to be a birth defect that could cost Ross more than just one season away from the game. He would have been going into his junior year after compiling 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns as a freshman, and 865 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. Ross also helped the Tigers win a national championship in his first season. He was projected to be the top wide receiver in the 2021 NFL Draft but this injury could very well impact that. Hopefully we'll see Ross back on the field again soon.
