NFL: Frank Gore back for 16th season

Frank Gore has signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets after two seasons with the Buffalo Bills. The veteran running back ran for 599 yards and two touchdowns on 166 attempts last year, helping Buffalo get to the postseason for the second time in three years. He will be staying in the AFC East as he moves to the Jets, under Adam Gase, who coached him in Miami. Even at 36-years-old, Gore is still durable as he played in all 16 games last year. He will be the perfect back-up and mentor to Le'Veon Bell, who will be looking to have another high level season after being quiet for much of 2019. Gore, who has totaled 15,347 yards, has the third most rushing yards of all-time, behind the likes of Emmitt Smith (18,355) and Walter Payton (16,726), and just ahead of Barry Sanders and Adrian Peterson.
