MLB: Predicting the World Series

Staff Writer

#4 Washington Nationals (93-69, 10-2) @ #1 Houston Astros (107-55, 7-6): The Nationals fell down early in Game 1, trailing 2-0 after the first inning but they bounced back and found a way to defeat Gerrit Cole and the Astros. Max Scherzer (2 ER, 7 K) was great despite his high pitch count early on and the bats of Juan Soto (3/4, 3 RBI) and Adam Eaton helped the Nationals take a 1-0 lead. In Game 2, Alex Bregman (1/4, 2 RBI) helped the Astros tie the game early, but Ryan Pressly (3 ER, 2 BB) gave up three runs in the sixth inning and the Nationals took a 2-2 tie and turned it into a 12-3 win. With two games gone in the World Series, is it time to start panicking for the Astros? Game 3 is certainly a must win as Anibal Sanchez and Zack Greinke take the mound in the first World Series game in Washington.
