NFL: Gronkowski Announces Retirement
According to ESPN, five-time Pro Bowl tight end, Rob Gronkowski, has announced his retirement from the New England Patriots. Although there is speculation that he might come back at some point, Gronk has made his decision for the time being. He is a three-time Super Bowl champion (2014, 2017, 2019), four-time All-Pro (2011, 2014, 2015, 2017), NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2014), and is widely regarded as one of the best tight ends to ever do it. He was drafted in the second round out of Arizona, and immediately made an impact with the Patriots. He caught 10 touchdown passes in his rookie year and would go on to catch 10+ touchdowns in five seasons, including 17 in his second season. Gronk, who finished with 7,860 yards and 79 touchdowns in nine years, will be greatly missed around the league.
