NFL: Antonio Brown Bolts To Oakland
The Oakland Raiders have (actually) traded for four-time All-Pro wideout Antonio Brown. This news comes soon after it was reported that Brown was being shipped to Buffalo to play for the Bills. But that report was eventually known to be false, and Brown will be donning the black and silver next season. In exchange, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be getting a 3rd and 5th draft pick. Brown had become disgruntled in Pittsburgh and there was clear tension with the organization, some of which was based on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Brown had 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2018, and he’ll add a different dynamic to the Raiders’ offense, who are reportedly sticking with Derek Carr at QB. Oakland was just 4-12 last year in Jon Gruden’s first season as head coach, and will look to build around Brown and Carr.
