CFB: Updated Playoff Picks

Cotton Bowl (CFP): No. 1 Alabama (10-0) vs. No. 4 Michigan (9-1): Top seeded Alabama finishes the season with two home games against Citadel and Auburn, prior to a win-and-in SEC championship game against 5th ranked Georgia. The Bulldogs are expected to give Alabama their biggest test of the year, and is one of few teams that believe they can hang with the Crimson Tide. 4th ranked Michigan will take on Indiana this weekend before their annual showdown with 10th ranked Ohio State on November 24th. If the Wolverines win those next two games, they'll be in the Big Ten title game against Northwestern. If Alabama and Michigan do meet in the CFP, lets hope it's a little closer than Alabama's 41-14 win to open the 2012 campaign.

Orange Bowl (CFP): No. 2 Clemson (10-0) vs. No. 3 Notre Dame (10-0): Clemson got past their final test versus a ranked foe this past weekend against then 17th ranked Boston College, and the next two games are on their home field, where the Tigers have lost just once in the last four years. And it doesn't seem like either Duke or South Carolina will be able to break that streak. 3rd ranked Notre Dame, on the other hand, has (at least) one more test left. That will come this Saturday versus 12th ranked Syracuse (who are currently projected to be in the Peach Bowl). According to ESPN FPI, Notre Dame has a 74.9 percent chance to win. Unlike the most recent Alabama-Michigan game, the last time these two played was a thrilling 24-22 for the Tigers.

New Year's Six Bowls:

Rose Bowl: No. 7 Washington State vs. No. 10 Ohio State

Sugar Bowl: No. 5 Georgia vs. No. 6 Oklahoma

Fiesta Bowl: No. 9 West Virginia vs. No. 11 UCF

Peach Bowl: No. 7 LSU vs. No. 12 Syracuse
