CFB: Week 11 Preview

Top-10 Rankings:

1. Alabama (9-0, 100)

2. Clemson (9-0, 96)

3. Notre Dame (9-0, 92)

4. Michigan (8-1, 88)

5. Georgia (8-1, 84)

6. Oklahoma (8-1, 80)

7. West Virginia (7-1, 73)

8. Ohio State (8-1, 54)

9. Washington State (8-1, 52)

10. LSU (7-2, 50)

Review: Remember when LSU (-6) was supposed to be the first team to compete with Alabama? Well, that didn't go as planned. The Tigers were throttled from the beginning of the game, and sans one interception of QB Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama did whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. LSU drops six spots following the 29-0 loss to their rival, and gives them their second conference loss which virtually eliminates them from College Football Playoff contention. The biggest riser of the weekend? West Virginia (+6). The Mountaineers were able to convert on a two-point conversion with 16 seconds left to give them a 42-41 win over Texas. West Virginia still has just one loss, at Iowa State, and are still in line to reach the Big 12 title game.

Weekly Standings:

Caleb Henderson: 36-14

Charles Post: 40-10

Chinedum Wejinya: 40-10

Tyler Taylor: 31-19

Consensus Picks:

No. 2 Clemson @ Boston College

No. 8 Ohio State @ Michigan State

Baylor @ Iowa State

No. 9 Washington State @ Colorado

Mississippi State @ No. 1 Alabama

Review: 2nd ranked Clemson is coming off of a dominant 77-16 win over Louisville, and they'll have another shot at a conference foe: Boston College, this weekend. It's the final game against a ranked opponent for the Tigers. 8th ranked Ohio State will try to keep their Big Ten title hopes alive against Michigan State on the road. The Buckeyes have a 60.3 percent chance to win according to ESPN FPI. In the Big 12, Iowa State hosts Baylor with an eye at moving up the standings. Meanwhile, 9th ranked Washington State faces Colorado, who has lost four straight games. Lastly, Mississippi State attempts to pull off the impossible and upset top ranked Alabama. We're selecting Clemson, Michigan State, Iowa State, Washington State, and Alabama.

Heisman Standings:

1. Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama, 20)

2. Kyler Murray (Oklahoma, 12)

3. Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State, 9)

4. Travis Etienne (Clemson, 6)

5. Karan Higdon (Michigan, 3)

Review: QB Tua Tagovailoa doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon. He's going to remain at the top of our leaderboard at least until the Crimson Tide lose. He threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns on 59.5 percent passing against LSU. QB Kyler Murray of Oklahoma comes in second following his outing against Texas Tech. The Sooners' offense is statistically the best in the country and it's headed by Murray. QB Dwayne Haskins remains in third, and has a solid lead over RB Travis Etienne. Etienne went off against Louisville for 153 yards and one touchdown on an amazing 19.1 yards per carry. RB Karan Higdon makes his first appearance in our standings after his eighth straight 100+ yard game, this time going for 132 yards and a score.
