MLB: Championship Round Predictions

NLCS: No. 2 Los Angeles Dodgers (91-71, 3-1) @ No. 1 Milwaukee Brewers (96-67, 3-0): The Dodgers and Brewers made quick work of the Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies, respectively, as the two combined to go 6-1 in the Divisional Round. Now they'll be looking for a chance to advance to the World Series. Los Angeles is in their third straight NLCS and could reach their second straight Fall Classic, while Milwaukee hasn't been to the World Series since 1982. The Dodgers are led by 3B Justin Turner (2 R, .357 BA) and SS Manny Machado (2 HR, 6 RBI). The Brewers have LF Ryan Braun (5 H, .385 BA) and RF Christian Yelich (4 R, 2 RBI) to combat. The aces to keep an eye on are SP Clayton Kershaw (1-0, 0.25 WHIP) and RP Corbin Burnes (1-0, 5 K).

MVP Picks:

1. Clayton Kershaw

2. Christian Yelich

3. Manny Machado

4. Justin Turner

ALCS: No. 2 Houston Astros (103-59, 3-0) @ No. 1 Boston Red Sox (108-54, 3-1): The Astros and Red Sox were the two best teams in the entire league in the regular season, and this could be a classic series. Alex Cora, the Boston manager, was a bench coach on Houston's championship team from last year. Everything about this series points to it coming down to the wire. 3B Alex Bregman (4 RBI, .556 BA) was scorching in the ALDS, and will look to keep that going. He led the AL in batting average in the divisional round. The Red Sox produce RF J.D. Martinez (6 RBI, .357 BA) and a lot more. There is also a ton of arm talent in this series: SP Justin Verlander (1-0, 2 BB), SP Chris Sale (1-0, 9 K), and SP Rick Porcello (1-0, 5.2 IP).
