Dwayne Wade (Miami Heat): D-Wade is going to be a Hall of Famer someday, and the team that we're going to remember him playing for is the Heat. And that's back to where he is going. Wade is averaging 11.2 points and 3.5 assists per game in less than one season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. I think this is a good deal for both teams. The Cavaliers get rid of an aging superstar who's minutes can now go to Jordan Clarkson, and Wade is heading back home to Miami, where he can ride out the rest of his career (in the playoffs).
Derrick Rose (Utah Jazz): Rose's career continues the downward spiral. After leaving the Chicago Bulls and going to thew New York Knicks, where he averaged 18-points per game, he decided to sign with the Cavs and shoot for a championship. But midseason Cleveland realized that veterans like Rose and Wade are not going to help them win a title. Koby Altman made it clear that he wanted to get younger, which ended the Rose and Jae Crowder tenures. Also noteworthy, according to Marc Stein, Rose may get bought out.
George Hill (Cleveland Cavaliers): Hill was a very good player for the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz for years, as he was always in the playoffs. He doesn't turn the ball over very often, is willing to get his teammates involved, and has a history of good defense. It makes sense of the Cavs because they should get better on defense, and it makes sense for the Sacramento Kings. Because now they can give Hill's minutes to rookie De'Aaron Fox. Hill was averaging 10.3 points and 2.8 assists per game with the Kings.
Rodney Hood (Cleveland Cavaliers): Hood is arguably the biggest pick up for the Cavaliers today. He is a very good scorer, and is an upgrade on the defensive end from J.R. Smith. Not only that, but he is also younger and is a fresh acquisition, which is a good thing for the Cavs' locker room right now. Hood, the former-Duke guard, is putting up 16.8 points and a 15.56 PER this year with the Jazz. Look for him to get a ton of minutes in Cleveland now that Rose, Iman Shumpert, and Rose are gone. The Cavs should start him.
