CFB: Tua Tag-Me-In
Tua Tagovailoa is not just a hard pronunciation, theres more than behind the name when it comes to this guy. Tua Tagova ... Tua, yeah Tua. How about in this article we just address him as Tua for my brain's sake. I mean after all, his play pretty much made a name for himself. Nick Saban is crazy. Not just your typical "my wife is crazy" but like legitimately crazy. To throw in a back up true freshman quarterback in the championship game over a player who is 25-2 with championship game experience is not going to go well. At least that is what we had thought.
Tua not only came in and settled the early jitters he should have had, but he won the game, throwing for 166 yards and three touchdowns against a defense that held Baker Mayfield at bay, is so incredibly impressive. Especially considering that the only times he had played this season was with a double-digit lead. In conclusion, we really should not be surprised. Saban keeps the cabinet stocked full of goodies all of the time. His continued legacy to dominate with anybody will never go unnoticed. Whether it was Jalen Hurts or Tagovailoa, Saban helped further cement his legacy as the greatest coach to ever do it.
